Duties

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications with a focus on complex technical inventions.


• Provide strategic client counseling regarding intellectual property rights and standards-essential patents.


• Manage post-grant proceedings and handle communications with patent offices.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sophisticated, challenging legal projects.


 

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.


• Experience in wireless telecommunications, communication networks, or electrical hardware/software preferred.


• Background in computer networks, semiconductors, storage devices, or cloud computing is desirable.


• Experience with mechanical inventions, medical devices, or digital health is a plus.


• Demonstrated growth mindset, team orientation, and ability to thrive in an innovative environment.


 

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.


• Technical degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or equivalent fields.


 

Certifications

• Active patent bar registration or eligibility to register.


 

Skills

• Strong academic record and technical proficiency in relevant engineering disciplines.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and legal drafting.


• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative culture.
