A law firm seeks a highly qualified Transactional Tax Associate with 3 to 4 years of experience to join their Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and drafting tax-related provisions for various transaction documents and structuring tax aspects of corporate and partnership transactions.

Duties

• Negotiate and draft tax-related provisions for transaction documents, including purchase, merger, partnership, and credit agreements.
• Research complex tax issues and provide strategic solutions.
• Structure tax aspects of corporate and partnership transactions.
• Advise on tax planning related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity, debt finance, and other areas.

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of transactional tax experience.
• Experience in a large law firm or equivalent at a big four accounting firm.
• Availability to work in person.

Education

• Stellar academic credentials required.

Certifications

• Relevant certifications preferred.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to research and analyze complex tax issues.
• Proficiency in structuring tax aspects of transactions.
