A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Associate Attorney to join its personal injury practice, focusing on representing clients who have suffered serious injuries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing personal injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases, from initial evaluation through trial. Duties:

• Manage personal injury cases from inception to conclusion.
• Evaluate potential claims, provide legal advice, and represent clients in personal injury matters.
• Negotiate and litigate on behalf of clients to obtain fair compensation for their losses.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents, conduct comprehensive legal research and collect relevant evidence.
• Maintain up-to-date case files and manage case support teams.
• Negotiate settlement agreements, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with the litigation team and ensure timely resolution of cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in personal injury, wrongful death, Jones Act, and/or FELA litigation.
• First or second-chair jury trial experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, tort law, medical terminology, and civil litigation processes.
• Exceptional legal research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex, high-value cases independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri (required).

Skills:

• Proficiency in personal injury law, wrongful death, and civil litigation.
• Expertise in managing and organizing case files and documentation.
• Strong negotiation and trial advocacy skills.
• Superb drafting and legal research capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Fluency in Spanish (preferred but not required).
• Passion for client advocacy and a commitment to helping individuals.
