A law firm seeks a Transactional Business Attorney for a full-time, on-site position in Annapolis, MD. This role offers a leadership opportunity for a driven attorney to oversee a team and contribute to the growth of the firm's transactional practice.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor agreements and NDAs.
• Advise stakeholders on legal risks and business terms related to transactions.
• Lead M&A activities, including due diligence and deal structuring.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance and operations.
• Manage and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.
• Develop strategies to grow the business transactional practice.
• Coordinate with external counsel for specialized legal matters.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the business.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate and transactional law.
• Expertise in contract law, business transactions, and corporate governance.
• Previous management or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in growing a practice area.
• Business acumen and ability to provide pragmatic legal solutions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing.
