Job Overview
A law firm seeks an attorney in Cape Coral, Florida, to assist with hearings, appeals, and personal injury litigation. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in the Cape Coral/Ft Myers office, with remote options available.

Duties

• Develop Social Security case files and refine strategies.
• Supervise paralegals effectively.
• Appear at hearings before Administrative Law Judges.
• Maintain diary systems and track Statute of Limitations.
• Prepare Federal Court Appeals with strong writing and research skills.
• Cross-examine vocational and medical experts.
• Draft pre-hearing memos and prepare clients.
• Write post-hearing briefs for Administrative Law Judges.
• Present at weekly staff meetings.
• Maintain frequent client contact and provide status reports.
• Draft Appeals Council briefs.

Requirements

• Good standing with the Bar.
• Experience in personal injury litigation is helpful.
• Familiarity with EAJA, 406(a), and 406(b) fees.

Education

• Law school transcript of grades required.

Certifications

• Bar membership in good standing.
