A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in San Diego, CA. This role offers immediate courtroom exposure and mentorship from seasoned litigators. The firm represents clients in employment law cases, focusing on wrongful termination, harassment, and discrimination. Candidates will gain hands-on experience in trial preparation and litigation.

Duties

• Take full autonomy over cases from inception through trial.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court for hearings and motion practice.
• Communicate directly with clients and contribute to case strategy.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare for trial and gain second chair experience.
• Contribute to emerging California employment case law.

Requirements

• Active California Bar member with 1-7 years of litigation experience.
• Employment law background preferred.
• Ability to write and argue with precision and confidence.
• Experience in trial or substantial trial-prep is a strong plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar membership.

Skills

• Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
