Duties

• Lead complex divorce, contested custody, child support, and marital property matters from initial consultation through resolution.



• Develop and execute strategies for negotiation, mediation, hearings, and trial while handling sensitive matters involving domestic violence or high-conflict disputes.



• Draft and finalize pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring thorough preparation for all proceedings.



• Provide clear, practical advice and responsive communication to clients, maintaining composure in emotionally charged situations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of family law practice, with 15 or more years strongly preferred.



• Active Texas law license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.



• Substantial experience handling Texas family law cases, including contested hearings and trials.



• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex cases and an active caseload.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.

Skills

• Strong negotiation, legal writing, research, and analytical skills.



• Excellent client communication and the ability to remain composed under pressure.



• Strong organization, attention to detail, and proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office.
