Duties

• Handle liability and coverage matters.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 20 matters.
• Investigate claims and develop case strategies.
• Draft, respond to, and manage discovery.
• Take and defend depositions of various parties.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Prepare cases for mediation/trial, including pre-trial documents.
• Participate in mediation/trial proceedings.
• Report effectively to clients.
• Supervise associates and paralegals.

Requirements

• Admission to the bar in Illinois.
• Extensive oral argument skills.
• Strong legal writing and creative strategy skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Problem-solving skills.
• German speaking and/or European experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
