A collaborative Seattle litigation boutique is hiring an experienced associate to run their own caseload. This isn’t a memo-drafting seat. You’ll own cases from intake through settlement or trial, with paralegal support and experienced colleagues to work with day to day.

What you’ll do

• Manage your own civil litigation docket, including employment law, school law and general civil matters
• Draft and argue motions through summary judgment
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts and third parties
• Attend hearings and try cases, both bench and jury
• Meet with clients, build case strategy and negotiate settlements

What we’re looking for

• 6 or more years of civil litigation experience with strong motion practice
• An active Washington State Bar license in good standing, with no disciplinary history
• Experience managing cases independently with minimal supervision
• Trial experience or real readiness to try cases (second chair preferred, first chair even better)
• A steady work history. Please be ready to explain any short tenures or gaps.
• Law school ranking is not a deciding factor. Your litigation experience is.

Compensation and benefits

• $150,000 to $200,000 base, depending on experience
• Bonus of 20% on billings above about 125 hours a month
• 20% origination credit on business you bring in
• 401(k) with a 4% match, 3 weeks of PTO plus sick leave, and full medical, dental and vision.
