A law firm seeks an Employment Law Senior Attorney with expertise in the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) for their Ontario, CA office. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in employment litigation and defense, with recent PAGA experience required.

Duties

• Manage and oversee PAGA claims, including strategic development and representation in negotiations or trial.
• Develop legal strategies tailored to PAGA claims, balancing risk and litigation costs.
• Monitor and manage the discovery process, including evidence gathering and witness depositions.
• Provide counsel on compliance with California labor laws and conduct audits.
• Assist clients in developing policies related to wage and hour issues.
• Evaluate and advise on new legislation affecting PAGA claims.
• Foster and expand client relationships and identify business development opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff on PAGA-related matters.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in employment litigation and defense.
• Recent PAGA experience within the last year.
• Jury trial or civil court trial experience preferred.
• Experience with public entity defense is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor's and Juris Doctor degrees.

Certifications

• Member, State Bar of California in good standing.
