Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with three to six years of construction-related transactional experience to join its nationally recognized Construction and Infrastructure Transactions practice in New York City, NY. The team handles sophisticated contracts for large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects, offering direct partner mentorship and early client contact within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate sophisticated contracts, including EPC agreements, design-build documents, alternative delivery contracts, supply and purchase agreements, service and engineering agreements, and consulting agreements.



• Advise on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, bonding, and other critical commercial terms for national significance matters.



• Communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure meticulous attention to detail and high-quality legal writing.

Requirements

• Three to six years of construction-related transactional experience.



• Demonstrated proficiency in independently drafting and negotiating complex contract types.



• Excellent legal writing skills and strong academic credentials.



• Ability to work in a high-responsibility, collaborative, and fast-paced practice.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Experience with cross-border matters is desired.



• Meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills.
