Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior associate with less than three years of experience to join its Utility and Energy practice in Minneapolis. Duties

• Guide clients through complex regulatory approvals by state public utility commissions and other federal and state regulatory agencies.


• Represent clients in utility- and energy-related transactions, litigation, enforcement actions, and regulatory proceedings.


 

Requirements

• Active Minnesota bar membership is required.


• Less than three years of post-graduate experience; entry-level candidates are welcome.


• Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Admitted to the Minnesota State Bar.


 

Skills

• Interest in administrative, regulatory, and energy-related matters.


• Prior experience in utility regulation, energy law, environmental law, administrative law, or government service is a plus.


 

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $190,000 to $200,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
