Duties

• Manage felony and serious criminal matters from intake through verdict or resolution.
• Conduct jury trials in Washington's Municipal, District, and Superior Courts.
• Draft and argue pretrial, evidentiary, suppression, and dismissal motions.
• Investigate, analyze, and develop case strategies independently.
• Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve optimal client outcomes.
• Counsel clients with clarity and respect during challenging times.
• Mentor associates and contribute to team development.
• Uphold professional ethics and client confidentiality.

Requirements

• Active WA State Bar License in good standing.
• Five+ years managing felony matters in Washington State's courts.
• Substantial jury-trial experience with a history of taking cases to verdict.
• Strong command of criminal law, procedure, and evidence.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• Willingness to work and travel among Tacoma, Seattle, and Kent courts and offices.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
