A law firm seeks an Associate in the Tax Department to join its Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits practice group in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in benefits and compensation matters, bringing a sophisticated understanding of tax, securities, and labor laws to complex corporate transactions.

Duties

• Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate transactions, including multi-billion dollar mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets deals.



• Tailor compensation arrangements and address complex multi-jurisdictional employment and employee benefits issues.



• Optimize plan design to account for tax and securities law considerations while developing commercial workforce solutions.



• Collaborate with global colleagues to provide insights on cross-border matters and market practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in benefits and compensation.



• Sophisticated understanding of the legal landscape, market practice, and conditions in executive compensation.



• Ability to work as an integrated part of the client's team on challenging issues.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New York.

Skills

• Intellectually curious self-starter with strong analytical abilities.
