A law firm seeks a mid-level Corporate M&A Associate for its Houston, Texas office. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic and nationally recognized practice group.

Duties

• Work with private equity funds, independent sponsors, and portfolio companies on M&A transactions.
• Draft operating and partnership agreements.
• Manage day-to-day needs of portfolio companies.
• Lead M&A transactions from inception to closing.
• Negotiate and draft important transaction documents.
• Collaborate effectively across practice areas.
• Train junior associates.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• Admitted to the Texas Bar.
• Strong academic background.
• Superior drafting and research skills.
• Experience with majority and minority equity issuances.
• General corporate and corporate governance experience.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
