A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Associate Attorney in Des Moines, Iowa. Duties
- Prepare, review, and file patents, trademarks, and copyright applications and related documents.
- Advise clients on intellectual property rights, protection, enforcement, and licensing.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex IP issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for IP litigation.
- Communicate with co-counsel, clients, opposing counsel, and foreign associates.
- Assist with business development and client relationship initiatives.
- Collaborate with attorneys across various practice groups.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Iowa State Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly.
- Successful completion of the USPTO Patent Bar Exam.
- 1+ years of relevant intellectual property experience.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the Iowa State Bar.
- USPTO Patent Bar Exam completion.
