A law firm seeks an Incident Response Associate to join their Privacy and Cyber practice group in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in incident response, privacy advisory, and compliance.

Duties

• Lead scoping calls and collaborate with forensic experts during incident response.
• Work with insurance carriers and insureds in incident response contexts.
• Communicate with law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and other third parties as needed.
• Counsel clients on privacy compliance, pre-incident planning, and data-use best practices.

Requirements

• Excellent academic and professional credentials.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage caseloads and client relationships independently.
• Experience advising on privacy compliance programs and data governance.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• CIPP, CIPM, or other privacy certifications preferred.

Skills

• Ability to manage smaller projects with limited supervision.
• Experience in healthcare or financial services is a plus.
• Ability to present a defensible narrative to plaintiffs or regulators.
