Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Virginia Bankruptcy team in Herndon, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work with experienced attorneys and leverage advanced technology in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related court proceedings.
• Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Attend court hearings in person and virtually.
• Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff.
• Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice.

Requirements

• Licensed in Virginia.
• Licensed in Maryland (preferred).
• 4-5+ years of experience, with bankruptcy experience highly preferred.
• Experience in creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and related areas of practice.
• Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and driven.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Virginia.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based legal platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
