Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in Hollywood, FL, to support an experienced team in handling matters from inception through resolution. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys the day-to-day practice of litigation, including discovery, legal research, motion drafting, and case management, while collaborating with senior litigators on strategy and trial preparation.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.



• Manage all phases of written discovery, including drafting, responding to, and reviewing requests.



• Conduct legal research, prepare case analyses, and review records and evidence.



• Assist with deposition and witness preparation, and attend hearings, mediations, and depositions.



• Maintain case deadlines and collaborate with the team to ensure efficient matter progression.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of litigation experience preferred.



• Strong experience with discovery, motion practice, and case management.



• Excellent legal research and writing skills with the ability to analyze complex issues.



• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.



• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
