A law firm seeks a mid to senior associate or counsel to join its energy practice in San Francisco. The candidate will engage in energy commercial transactions, representing developers, technology companies, investors, and utilities. Duties

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including energy supply and operational contracts.
• Support transactions involving energy project development, financing, and asset sales.
• Advise on renewable energy credit transactions and energy market matters.
• Counsel clients on renewable energy, storage, transmission, and decarbonization initiatives.
• Collaborate on energy transition, infrastructure, and technology matters.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in California.
• 3+ years of experience in energy transactions or a strong commercial transaction background.
• Strong drafting, negotiating, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with energy regulatory frameworks and utility operations.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Interest in emerging technologies and energy transition issues.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice in California.
