A law firm seeks a lateral associate to join its Credit & Leveraged Finance group in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience in finance practice at a law firm and possess strong academic credentials. This role is designed for experienced lawyers, and current law students are not eligible.

Duties

• Collaborate with a global team to devise business solutions for corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors.
• Engage in financing transactions across various industries, including digital infrastructure and pharmaceuticals.
• Work on a range of debt products, such as acquisition financings and high-yield bond offerings.
• Participate in high-profile and novel financing transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of one to two years of experience in finance practice at a law firm.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Experience with cross-border financing transactions is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
