Duties

• Meet with clients and evaluate potential cases
• Investigate liability and damages
• Develop case and litigation strategy
• Work with medical providers and expert witnesses
• Negotiate with insurance companies
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions as experience develops
• Prepare for mediation and trial
• Appear in court as experience grows
• Manage cases from intake through resolution

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in North Carolina or recently passed the North Carolina Bar Exam
• Genuine interest in becoming a plaintiff's personal injury trial lawyer
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Enjoy working directly with clients
• Dependable, organized, and accountable
• Willing to accept coaching and driven to improve
• Admission to the South Carolina Bar is a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications

• North Carolina Bar admission or pending admission
