A law firm seeks an Associate in the Tax Department to join its Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits practice group in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in benefits and compensation matters, bringing a sophisticated understanding of tax and securities law considerations to complex corporate transactions.

Duties

• Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate transactions, including multi-billion dollar mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets deals.



• Address complex multi-jurisdictional employment and employee benefits issues, optimizing plan design to account for regulatory requirements.



• Tailor compensation arrangements and resolve challenging employment issues for diverse clients ranging from startups to global financial institutions.



• Collaborate with cross-office colleagues to provide integrated, commercial, and practical workforce solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in benefits and compensation law.



• Demonstrated ability to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional matters with a focus on tax and securities law intersections.



• Strong intellectual curiosity and the capacity to work effectively as part of an integrated client team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
