Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of litigation experience and will handle various claims, including insurance, construction defects, and real estate fraud.

Duties

• Screen and review new claims.
• Analyze claims and develop strategies.
• Engage with clients, experts, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare legal documents such as complaints and motions.
• Conduct and participate in discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, EUOs, and trials.
• Manage all litigation aspects from consultation to settlement or trial.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of litigation experience.
• Trial experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Experience in drafting pleadings and discovery.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Interest in long-term growth opportunities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
