Some roles can work virtual full-time if they are not near a Tech Hub, but that is dependent upon the needs of the position and amount of collaboration required.

The team also supports our evolving network architecture, including next-generation consumer systems and technologies, infrastructure and engineering, network integration and management tools, and technical standards.

Intern Job Description

Expected to learn and understand products and process of business requirements that will serve as the basis for software development. They will work with mentor and with the team understanding the agile methodology, understanding epics, features, and user stories. Able to contribute to the product with the feature level coding. The junior software developer also be responsible for any additional supporting documentation that is needed.


Understand the process of the IT organization's systems and capabilities.

Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.

Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.

Support and run UAT demo's with key users on a regular basiswith help of mentor initially

Maintain effective business and field communications and relationships with the team and business owners

Understanding how to Manage project document repository

Great Team player and coordinator, who can work with management and as well as stake holders


Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.

Demonstrated project / program management experience and expertise

Ability to balance competing priorities in a very dynamic/fast paced environment

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required

Planning, prioritizing and organizational skills required


Nice to have:


Understanding Cable/Telecommunications industry preferred

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)

Understanding of JIRA


Technologies:


Front End: JavaScript (React, Redux), HTML5/CSS3

Back End: PHP (Lumen REST API)

Database: NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis), SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)

Scripting: Python, golang

Infrastructure: Nagios, Jenkins, Linux (CentOS/ Red Hat)

Agile Tools: JIRA


Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements


Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a United States-based college or university

Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023, Spring 2024, December 2024 or Spring 2025.

Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship

Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program

Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)
