The candidate is expected to work effectively in a highly collaborative matrixed environment and interface with Oncology, Immunoscience, Neuroscience, Cardiovascular, and Fibrosis discovery biology areas, chemistry as well as translational research investigators and champion proteomics methodologies / modalities to help solve complex drug discovery & translational research questions.

The candidate needs to have sufficiently deep understanding of biochemistry and biology to help articulate the problem statement, communicate with key stakeholders and bridge across matrixed teams.

A demonstrated ability to convert datasets to usable knowledge and utilize it to support the program progression across the Drug Discovery Translational Research continuum.

Deep familiarity with other “omics” and experience in building synergies to achieve integrative omics outcomes.

An established track record in articulating the need for proteomics as well as successfully applying proteomics to drug discovery and translational space.

A demonstrated ability in applying activity-based and chemical proteomics to elucidate receptor ligand interactions, target deconvolution, drug-proteome interactions for, specificity as well as on/off target assessments and modulation protein-protein interactions with chemotype intervention.

Deep experience developing, deploying and utilizing innovative proteomics techniques / workflows (emphasis on Chemical Proteomics) to characterize complex proteomes (including post-translational proteomes) to enable discovery, translational activities is absolutely necessary.

Experience with proteome level post-translational modification analyses (e.g. glycosylation, acetylation/methylation) is highly desirable.

Deep “hands on” experience with proteomics analytical instrumentation (latest generation, nano-chromatography and mass spectrometry), associated workflows, and data processing software packages is a must.

The candidate is expected to spend at least 60% of their time in the proteomics lab and perform experiments alongside their team as well as interface with the larger proteomics team.
