Responsibilities:
This position will support the Web Next Generation team and will be responsible for leading software quality assurance testing. The focus of this position will initially be mobile application testing, but flexibility to support web application testing and automated test development is also necessary. Individual will work closely with the application development team and release managers to ensure that our web and mobile applications maintain a consistently high quality. The ability to interpret test results, project plan status, and other factors to make recommendations to management is key to success in this role.
The Automation Test Engineer is responsible for assessing and evaluating quality assurance test requirements to determine functionality to be tested with automated test scripts. This position designs, produces, executes, and maintains the automated test suite including test scripts, catalog of components, and test data. The Automation Test Engineer tests applications while documenting, tracking, and reporting on defects. This position also analyzes test results, leverages troubleshooting skills to assist with defining root cause, and conducts re-testing after defects are addressed.
Qualifications:
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
2 years of experience in QA/QC automated software testing including identifying required testing, developing test plans, performing analysis, documenting defects
2 years of experience testing web and/or mobile GUI applications
Strong expertise in VBScripting or Visual Basic
Experience with HP Quick Test Pro a plus
Familiar with automation frameworks and methodologies
Prefer experience in Keyword or Business Process testing framework
Analytic skills, troubleshooting /problem solving skills, process focused
Ability to work independently and effectively manage time to be productive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Software Test Life Cycle (STLC)
Experience with industry standard test tools such as: Rational Quality Manager, Rational Requirements Composer, ClearQuest, HP QuickTest Pro experience
Knowledge SQL, Oracle, Teradata, or other database technologies is a plus
