Associate Dean And Director of the Law Library
The candidate oversees all aspects of library operations and services, including external relations, budget development and management, personnel management, strategic planning, and legal-research curriculum development and teaching. Reports to the vice dean for administration and supervises 7 law librarians and 7 administrative staff members. Support the teaching and research activities of the law school community, which consists of approximately 620 J.D. & 639 students enrolled in non-J.D. graduate programs, 51 full-time faculty members and 130 support staff. A J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and an M.L.S. (or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited program are required. Should have 7-10 years of management experience in an academic law library, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
