Corporate Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for: Provide counsel to internal clients across MCW in collaboration with senior attorneys in various practice areas in support of MCW’s Missions of Education, Healthcare, Research and Community Engagement; Review, draft and negotiate contracts and legal risk documents, such as service agreements, purchasing agreements, NDA’s, affiliation agreements; Identify issues, risks and opportunities and prevent and resolve conflicts by providing legal counsel on a host of issues including corporate governance & structure, real estate, healthcare regulatory compliance, employment, higher education, clinical research, litigation, investigations and transactions; Assist with development and implementation of institutional policies, procedures and guidelines. Must have Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Should have 1-5 years of experience as practicing attorney. Healthcare industry, real estate and UCC transactions experience preferred. Certification: Wisconsin bar registration within one year for an attorney admitted to practice in any other state or territory or the District of Columbia.
