Duties: Serve as principal legal advisor for US Surgical business providing advice on a broad range of topics including commercial transactions healthcare fraud and abuse compliance and regulatory and quality issues. Provide guidance on risks and best practices related to Anti-Kickback Statute False Claims Act and Food Drug and Cosmetic Act. Negotiate and draft a variety of commercial transactions. Provide support in establishing and documenting sales programs and promotions. Maintain active communication with Deputy General Counsel about legal risks. Adapt implement and deliver training on legal department policies and procedures. Contribute to business group and legal department development of policies and standards. Manage outside counsel engagements including budgets and fees. Proactively identify legal risks affecting and collaborate with senior management to mitigate risks. Follow and advise on major developments in laws and regulations.
