Director, Academic Employee and Labor Relations
The candidate will report directly to the Associate Vice, Affirmative Action, Employee and Labor Relations and be primarily responsible for the administration of the academic employee and labor relations program within Human Resource Services (HRS). Will represent the University as the chief negotiator for University during collective bargaining and during hearings and/or arbitrations. Negotiate, draft and administer collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) for both academic and non-academic unions, as assigned. Provide guidance and counsel to senior leadership in employment/labor areas and conduct fact finding investigations, respond to requests for information, enforce grievance procedures and represent the University at grievance hearings, appeals, mediations, and unfair labor practices.
