Moxley Center - Assist center supervisors in leading scheduled and unscheduled group activities. Camp Happy Days - Assists in leading unscheduled and scheduled activities; Maintains and oversees proper care to campers and facility. Parker Bennett Center - Assists center supervisor in leading scheduled and unscheduled group activities.
Duties Of Position
Moxley Center - Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion. Assist with Summer Fun Camp inventory and needs assessment. Maintain and oversee proper care and use of equipment and facility. Attend regular Summer Fun Camp Staff meetings actively discussing methods toward improving the program. Camp Happy Days - Must be able to work with special needs children, teens and adults, as well as communicate with the parents and guardians of the campers Parker Bennett Center - Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion. Job Requirements
Ages: 17 Moxley Center - Must possess good communication skills in dealing with parents, children, and other staff members; must be able to make accurate decisions in an emergency situation; CPR & First Aid Certification required (or ability to attain). Camp Happy Days - Knowledge in recreation/sports activities and ability to supervise participants and complete required paper work; team leader/planner; attend regular Camp Happy Days staff meetings actively discussing methods toward improving program; CPR & First Aid Certification required (or ability to attain). Parker Bennett Center - Must be able to plan and schedule activities for youth between the ages of 5 -12 years old; Must possess good communication skills in dealing with parents, children and other staff members; must be able to make accurate decisions in an emergency situation. CPR & First Aid Certification required (or ability to attain).
Starting Salary
$7.82/hr
Work Hours
Moxley Center - 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 9:00 pm - 5:30 pm; May thru August. Some weekend work may be required to cover special events. Mandatory to work Fourth of July weekend; Camp Happy Days - 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday; 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (hours may vary) May thru August. Mandatory to work any special event. Parker Bennett Center - 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; May thru August.
