Responsibilities: Ownership, vision and execution of the Companies’ Third Party Risk Management function, which includes risk assessment and mitigation for the portfolio of over 3,000 vendor relationships. Oversee New Initiatives Committee Operations and coordination with Risk Committee, DFS Board and DFS Bank Board Operations to ensure New Initiative are appropriately escalated and approved through the risk committee structure as required by the New Initiatives Risk Policy. Provide leadership & direction to ensure appropriate risk management oversight occurs for third party and New Initiatives activities. Oversight activities are performed through monitoring and developing where necessary: Key Risk Indicator, risk appetite, performance scorecards, risk acceptance, subject matter expert compliance, enterprise risk and control statements, incentive compensation triggers, strategic services and regulatory compliance. Provide leadership & direction to ensure governance occurs through third party and New Risk Initiatives risk management program requirements. Governance activities are performed through policy and procedure creation and maintenance, risk management framework adherence, quality assurance activities, Inherent Risk Assessment (IRA) alignment, effective challenge and training and communication. Interact with senior executives, governance committees and regulators to provide (orally & written) risk management reporting, analytics and finding in a complete & concise manner. Additionally, provide management with internal reporting for effective oversight and governance monitoring. Collaborate with internal CRM teams for automation and integrated risk committee reporting. Provide leadership, mentoring and development to third party and new initiatives risk management team. Collaborate and build relationships with different program participants.
