Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Northern Virginia. The SIGINT Technology Center (STC) is where Technology and Teamwork come together to meet the unique needs of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. The qualified applicant will join an engineering team which supports STC programs ranging from state-of-the-art microwave systems to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) SIGINT payloads and data links. STC work includes system design, engineering development, system integration, hands-on build and test, field operations and maintenance, training, and production. The position responsibilities include coding, designing, debugging, testing, and integration using C/Assembler on Microchip MPU and/or Atmel MPU platforms. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using laboratory instruments (like oscilloscope, logic analyzers, meters, etc.) to integrate code to hardware.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of related experience as a Firmware Engineer. Experience with C/Assembly, HTML, Perl, XML, Embedded RTOS, Windows and Linux operating systems TS/SCI with Poly required. Possible travel up to 25% Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cars in general, CAN bus if possible with car applications, and audio/video, etc.
