Description

The Director of Technology for the Clinical Healthcare Services segment leads a team that partners with clinical business areas to drive the strategy and operation of key platforms and tools that enable Humana's clinicians to ensure our members are receiving the right care, in the right place at the right time. As the accountable Humana executive for care management tools and channels across web, phone and external vendor relationships, this leader will have significant impact at Humana working within broad goals and will be responsible for applying technical leadership and expertise as well as business knowledge to solve complex problems that impact Humana's millions of members, provider partners and clinical associates. In operating Humana's care management channels, this leader will track key metrics such as daily discharges for Humana's members, digital engagement rate, outreach percentages and member satisfaction with Humana's online self-service experiences.

Responsibilities

In addition, this role will function as a senior advisor and executive partner to various support teams within Humana, with the ability to be a strategic thought-partner and to synthesize and communicate complex ideas. Major decisions in this role are related to digital strategy, initiative prioritization and setting vision to translate strategy into action. This role also must embrace and contribute to Humana's Agile methodology of working, including the importance of collaborating with other areas across the business towards ensuring alignment to enterprise efforts and rapid delivery of value to the clinical segment leadership and shareholders.

The position will be responsible for teams engaged in the new Enterprise Clinical Operating Model platform along with the teams supporting the legacy systems currently utilized by Humana's clinicians and members. This position has 3 direct reports and the team will encompass approximately 75-100 individuals, made up of both full time and contract staff across a number of geographic locations.

Qualifications


Technical Experience: 10 years in Information Technology organizations.
Leadership/Management: 3 years
Built/Lead High Performing Teams: Track record of identifying, cultivating, and motivating talent. Proven ability to attract top talent from inside and outside of an organization to build high-performing teams.
Experience integrating Salesforce or similar platforms with other leading digital technology platforms.
Experience leading cloud transformation to MS Azure/GCP/AWS
Operator's Mindset: Has deep experience within and leading technical teams with a focus on clinical experience, performance metrics and continuous improvement.
Thought Leadership & Partnership: Drives future-focused agenda to build strategies from present to future state; anticipates changes and disruption to see opportunities for the future.
Large scale Strategy Implementation: Track record of delivering demonstrated value through strategic initiatives to support the enterprise; understands the essence of strategy lies in an ability to execute and integrate.
Experience developing scorecards, setting forecasts and goals, and assessing utilization management channel results on an ongoing basis.
Data Driven is a must.
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.


Additional Information

Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
