You work with the information security team as a competent and experienced information security and compliance leader.
How you will contribute
The Senior Manager, Information Security is a key leadership position within our cyber defense operations, overseeing and directing cyber defense operations. This fully remote role focuses on threat hunting, intelligence, incident response, and threat detection engineering to safeguard the organization's information assets and maintain a strong security posture. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of information security professionals responsible for cyber defense operations, including threat hunting, threat intelligence, incident response, and threat detection engineering.
Collaborate with key organizational stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize information security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Build and maintain strong trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, IT, and other business units, to drive security awareness and collaboration.
Oversee the monitoring, detecting, and analyzing of potential security threats and incidents, ensuring timely and effective response and remediation.
Lead security incident investigations, providing guidance and direction to incident response teams and liaising with law enforcement and other external organizations as necessary.
Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's security controls, tools, and processes, making recommendations for improvement and driving their implementation.
Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the effective delivery of information security services and solutions.
Provide regular updates to executive leadership on the company's information security posture, including metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
What extra ingredients you will bring:
A minimum of 6 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing cyber defense operations.
Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or GIAC.
In-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies, including threat hunting, incident response, and threat detection engineering.
Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience working in a global, remote environment is strongly preferred.
