you will use your knowledge and your hands on experience to help drive Actiance's product implementation and integration with key customers. You will be the subject matter expert and must possess a unique blend of being technically savvy with a customer service orientation and help bridge engineering with other internal teams (i.e. customer support, sales). In Actiance's fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment you will succeed by working independently to research and resolve issues, and you will also be a wiz at switching gears and wearing many hats. You'll be in a highly visible role with direct impact on our success, and you'll be able to learn and grow by being exposed to many different types of interesting technologies and customer environments. Responsibilities:
Mentor and train sales and customer support teams with a focus on troubleshooting and meeting customer needs.
Coordinate development activity with core Engineering and QA teams.
Work with the Product Management to produce a Product Roadmap with level-of-effort estimates.
Drive critical customer deals through demos and deployment assistance. Help Sales Engineers close deals.
Qualifications:
Hands-on familiarity with programming languages like Java, C/C , and experience with shell scripting.
Customer service oriented. Experience working directly with customers, Sales and Technical support to prioritize and resolve customer issue.
Experience with Network Security. Hands-on experience solving technical security problems such as configuring/administering: Routers, switches, security devices, firewalls, Proxy Servers, active directory and security auditing.
Experience working in SaaS environment. Experience developing, deploying and testing cloud-based applications. Amazon EC2 very desirable.
Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols such as HTTP, UDP, SSL, TSL, DNS, FTP, WCCP etc.
Familiarity with OpenSource tools and projects like Apache or Google projects
Experience with SQL (MySQL, MS-SQL Server)
Must have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
