Position Responsibilities:
Will provide leadership to both surveillance and support personnel who are responsible for the 7x24 support of Verizon's Global Transport, Digital Cross-Connect, and Mesh networks both domestic and international. Additionally, the Band 7 section manager acts as the single point of contact for their assigned shift to include process, network, and event management. They will deliver on key business objectives, including metrics and customer satisfaction results, to ensure targets are met across the various services and/or network technology. The individual will be responsible for handling both internal and external escalations to resolve network outages within SLA targets. The individual will also be responsible for meeting with upper management in support of key network objectives and provide guidance on assigned projects. The individual will receive broad guidance & be accountable for project or program results. Exercises limited judgment in developing methods, techniques & evaluation
criteria for obtaining results. Work is accomplished with limited direction. Delegates work to lower-banded team members as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- In depth understanding of fiber optic transport and DXC /technology to include hardware and network troubleshooting experience
- Must be able to work 7X24 in a Network Operations team environment with a diverse team of technical personnel
-Must be able to dynamically prioritize based on changing circumstances within the network management environment
