Assistant Director
Duties: Review resumes and cover letters and other job application materials, conduct mock interviews, and provide career counseling and coaching to JD students and graduates. Oversee the judicial clerkship program, including managing the student application process, advising students, planning and executing annual clerkship receptions, and interfacing with and supporting the faculty judicial clerkship committee and Board of Councilors Judicial Clerkship Alumni Committee. Provide program support and leadership for numerous large-scale programs including and not limited to: the Alumni Mock Interview Program, Alumni Mentor Lunch, Alternative Careers Programming, and Meet the Firm Night. Plan and present career panels and workshops. Update existing career resources and develop new resources including Power Points, print, and electronic handouts and guides, webinars, and other traditional and technology-based job search materials and resources. Play a critical role in employment outcome data collection, tracking, and reporting to accrediting agencies such as the ABA and NALP. Partner with CSO professional staff on office-wide projects and initiatives aimed at improving our job placement success regionally and nationally, employer outreach efforts, and enhancing our approach to communicating with and effectively engaging students and graduates. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
