Systems Programmer

A client of ours, a top-tier firm, is looking for a Systems Programmer to be based in New York, NY.
The responsibilities of the Systems Programmer will include:
Designing, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining zVSE operating system
Installing, maintaining, and upgrading software and hardware
Monitoring and tuning systems
Performing VSAM performance tuning
Configuring and administering CISC resources
Planning and implementing a disaster recovery plan
Providing incident troubleshooting and resolution
Coordinating IT/Systems projects organized to plan and implement complex integrated development projected in a multi-programming computer system operation in

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Considerable systems programming experience
Extensive experience with zVSE systems
Knowledge and experience with zVM, CA/DynamT, CA/Top Secret, Syncsort, Dr. D a plus
Excellent technical, analytical, and problem resolution abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
