Equity and Title IX Specialist
The candidate will serve in several primary functions within the Office of Institutional Equity for IUB and the university system. Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree in relevant field, and 2+ years of experience responding to and investigating reports of discrimination and harassment and/or other civil rights investigation experience. Should have demonstrated knowledge and/or professional experience in the application of Title VII, ADA, Title IX, other federal civil rights laws and related state laws. Demonstrated experience in working effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds in support of an equity and inclusion. Should preferably have JD, advanced degree, or certification in legal, EEO compliance, human resources, student affairs or related areas. 5+ years of some combination of civil rights-related response and/or investigative experience in the education, employment, and/or law enforcement field. Should have experience working in an educational setting.
