Law Fellow
Duties: Reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel, who reports directly to the Vice President and General Counsel (VPGC). Handles a broad array of legal issues ranging from First Amendment and government ethics issues, to intellectual property and employment law, to international programs and athletics issues. Will: (1) handle multiple unrelated matters concurrently, efficiently, and accurately; (2) perform thorough and precise legal research; (3) draft well-written legal memos and responses; and (4) interact professionally and knowledgeably with the university's administrators, external constituencies, and other entities. Will be involved in many sensitive and confidential issues and is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information and material, including information and material covered by the attorney-client privilege, work-product doctrine, and personnel and student confidentiality laws. Law Students in their final year, who will graduate in Spring 2018 and successfully pass the Oregon State Bar exam by September 2018.
