Profile

The Software Developer is a part of a team of web developers assisting with the design and development of business applications. The Software Developer works in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Serves as a member of team developing applications software for large Web-enabled data warehouse.
Uses leading-edge software tools for development J2EE,Servlets, JSP, Enterprise Java Beans, including; XML, JavaScript, and Oracle databases.
Uses OOA and OOD principals.
Assists in lifecycle development by ensuring proper documentation of system, design specifications and clean programming with user friendliness and application security in mind.
Ability to demonstrate functionality to the client.
Actively interacts with users to understand requirements.
Designs innovative solutions to meet user demands.
Maintains high level of application and data integrity.
Provides user training and involved in knowledge sharing activities.
Provide backup function for routine Oracle database tasks.
Job Requirements :
2 year degree in an IT relatedfield or equivalent experience
Security certification required
Secret clearance required
Possess or able to obtain Java Computing Environment certification within 3 months of date of hire.
3 years of web or software development experience is required.
Proven ability with the following: Java or J2EE, JSP/Servlets, HTML, SQL.
Java Script
Version control and source code
Must be flexible on duty hours and travel in support of non-routine operations and training support
Preferred:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 5 years relevant job experience.
Prior military service or support of government customers.
Familiarity with: PHP, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell scripting.
Familiarity with APEX, MVC, REST, SOAP UNIX environments, and Oracle Database Administration are a plus.
Familiarity with working in a high-security environment.
