Higher Education Legal Fellow
The Legal Fellow will report to firm's Associate Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs and Deputy General Counsel and will be a member of the Office of Legal Affairs staff, supporting projects through original research and collaboration with other team members. Will expect to prepare memoranda of law, review and draft agreements, interact with other UNC firm's departments, develop and present training materials, and assist in other duties involving the full scope of work in the Office of Legal Affairs. Should have J.D. degree (or pending J.D. degree) from an ABA-accredited law school. Must have a strong background or demonstrated interest in higher education law. Must have Admission (or pending admission) to the North Carolina Bar. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to grasp complex legal principles and explain them in non-technical language to administrators, staff, and faculty is preferred. Strong interpersonal and listening skills is required.
