The main objective of the Senior Database Developer is to work with the application development teams, focusing on the back-end portion of data storage considerations and performance considerations for application systems being developed.
Responsibilities
• Create and/or modify database procedures to meet specifications
• Tests and debugs database procedures
• Ensures that each database object runs as efficiently as possible
• Use tuning tools to improve database performance
• Participate in projects of medium to large size and complexity
• Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with other Technology teams and other departments/teams
• Ensures timely construction of database objects to meet project deliverables
• Designs, develops, debugs and tunes complex database routines/queries
• Create logical and physical database design, logic flow charts and process diagrams
Requirements
• Minimum 7 years of experience with Database Developer with SQL Server, Writing T-SQL, data modeling/relational database design
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008
• Familiarity with standard SQL Server performance monitoring and tuning concepts
• 5 years of logical and physical Microsoft SQL Server database design
• 5 years of database development experience including stored procedures, functions, views (T-SQL)
• Knowledge of SQL database management and database design
• Ability to perform as a team member
• Good communication skills in working with co-workers and internal clients
• Ability to plan work, anticipate and resolve technical and other problem
