Day to day tasks to be performed by the Consultant:
The Mid-level Software Developer will support application development to support the ETL from our COVID test scheduling system to other systems. The Mid-level Software Developer will perform application development tasks including researching and documenting technical designs, programming solutions, writing and executing unit test plans, researching, resolving, and testing defects, customer technical support, and close collaboration with other team members. The Mid-level Software Developer will review business requirements documentation with technical manager to ensure clarity in implementation of technical design; implement systems and program design to meet highly complex business needs and technical design document; create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation; assist the technical manager in development time estimates and assigned tasks; codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex programs, and developing complex test plans to verify logic programs; troubleshoots complex end user technical issues, identifying problems and leading solutions; implement release management process including technical steps to promote, test and release through the development environment, coordinating with infrastructure staff.
Specific day to day tasks include:
Design and code from requirements and functional specifications.
Analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement code to extract, transform and load data
Develop, monitor, and troubleshoot batch processing for data flows
Develop and consume web services
Produce technical and user documentation as requested.
Any other tasks necessary for completion of project deliverables and application support.
Implement security models
Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical personnel.
Communicate with programmatic units to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Software Developer:
Enhancing Detection Expansion-COVID testing development project
Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
Midlevel 36-60 Months Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance.
48 months experience with Java/J2EE and frameworks like SpringBoot
48 months of experience developing and consuming REST, SOAP services with security (OAuth/SSL)
36 months experience with modern Javascript frameworks like Angular
48 months experience with relational databases
36 months experience with cloud based data platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
36 months experience with ETL and batch processing frameworks/platforms
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related field
