Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Law
The candidate performs teaching, research, and guidance duties at the School of Law in the area of Business Courses (including Contracts, Business Associations, UCC). Responsibilities may include supervising students in legal practice or related activities. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions. This position may include weekend and evening hours and requires candidates to teach and be available during flexible hours to support the day and evening programs. Should have a J.D., LL.B., or Ph.D. degree in a law-related discipline. Should have demonstrated or promised evidence of significant success as a faculty member; interest in productive scholarship or law-related work; ability to teach successfully; and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Admission to law practice and law practice experience required. An ability to teach in both a classroom and clinical setting is strongly preferred. Additional requirements include commitment to the mission of School of Law; social justice lawyering experience, availability, willingness, and agreement to teach in day and evening programs and lawyering program and all relevant program areas of need; commitment to scholarly engagement and excellent teaching. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience, an established scholarly record, and experience the aforementioned areas of need.
