Profile

Position SummaryResponsible for managing an IT web development group. Oversee projects and manage staff workload to meet deliverables to internal and external customers. This involves broad and technical leadership in the areas of planning, designing, implementing, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking and status reporting. Responsibilities include management of entire technical team and possible consultant and outside vendors.
Responsibilities
Manage the mission and operational priorities of a department or functional area that may include one or more supervisors or are responsible for a unique specialty area of expertise in the organization. Translate objectives into short-term assignments, processes and measures. Communicate what is to be accomplished and coordinate/integrate activities to achieve overall achievement of goals. Develop short-term department and individual associate goals and review progress. Function as a subject matter expert and utilize expertise to incorporate, understand, and blend the functions of other operational areas to make decisions and recommendations.
Essential Job Functions
o Make important technical decisions comply with technical and business goals.
o Act as project representative internally and externally.
o Responsible for estimation and achievable scheduling for development with relevant groups
o Manage issues and risks associated with divisions development project
o Commit the release schedule and deliverable quality.
o Maintain development roadmap
o Establish suitable development process manner
Manage and supervise technical staff
o Provide management for supervised developers in professional manner
o Encourage developers to improve their technical and process skill
Technical collaboration
o Keep good relationship and communicate effectively with a wide variety of Internal groups
o Propose good solutions to senior management and relevant staff if necessary
Required Skills:
Experience & Skills
o Advanced knowledge and experience managing application development using development tools, servers and technologies needed for professional environments such as: ASP.NET, SQL, Java, JBOSS (ESB, Drools, Rules Engine), Latest HTML/CSS, XML, & iText.
o Experience in using Agile/Scrum methodology
o Knowledge or experience in composition (print and electronic) a plus.

o Ability to give positive influence to the subordinates
o Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical staff and with non-technical managers and staff including other parts of RRD.
o Ability to translate complex process objectives and business rules into robust technical solutions

o Requires excellent communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.
o Able to explain programs policies and procedures in language that is understood by others. .
o Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted.
o Requires strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer.
o Able to write with the clarity and precision necessary for the work being performed.
