Digital Archive Associate
The candidate will oversee the upload process of assets with correct metadata and usage rights into the tool. Works closely with the Digital Asset Manager/Head Archivist as well as system administrators across all schools/units to consolidate the University-wide media usage/storage and establish consistent standards, policies and procedures for all. Assist various university counterparts ingesting assets including adding and editing metadata and archiving assets. Serves as the “go to” resource for digital asset inquiries for 40+ system administrators. Systemizes existing catalog structure, ensuring appropriate naming and capturing all pertinent metadata to facilitate efficient retrieval and identification for the life of those assets. Loading metadata, performing audits on metadata usage, providing metrics on usage, and ensuring proper naming convention of metadata. Keeps metadata and usage rights for images current. Organizes and tracks image requests, and maintains schedules to accomplish deadlines. Assists users through the fulfillment of asset requests. Trains users on DAM capabilities, principles and best practices in digital publishing and develop training materials and documentation for continued support.
