Java/J2EE Software Developer

Profile

Strategic Systems is currently looking for a Java/J2EE Software Developer in Columbus, Ohio. This is a long term 2-5 year project and will require a face to face interview in Columbus. To be considered for this position candidates must have the following:
Strong experience developing reusable software in J2EE and Java EE
Strong experience with EJB 2.1 and 3.0 and server-side Java
Strong experience with application servers, especially JBoss
Strong experience with Oracle
Strong knowledge of Java development best practices
Experience with PERL
Unix Experience (Solaris/Linux)
Experience with XML and related technologies desirable
Strong experience with Web Services and SOA architectures
Strong OO design skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication and teaming skills
Nice to have skills include:
Experience with JBoss
Experience with the AGILE/SCRUM process desirable
Experience with Eclipse RCP
Experience with Rational UCM
Good knowledge of design patterns
Experience with GIT a plus
Experience with Maven/Jenkins a plus
Chemistry or other science background
Some experience with C and C a plus
